Jadeite adds
extra features to the API including:
variable font sizes,
constructions examples,
placeholders for classes and methods, and auto-generated “See Also” links.
Additionally it
is missing some items found in standard Javadoc documentation, including:
generics type information,
“Deprecated” tags and comments,
“See Also” links,
along with other minor differences.

public interface annotation Retention
extends Annotation
Indicates how long annotations with the annotated type are to
be retained. If no Retention annotation is present on
an annotation type declaration, the retention policy defaults to
RetentionPolicy.CLASS.
A Target meta-annotation has effect only if the meta-annotated
type is use directly for annotation. It has no effect if the meta-annotated
type is used as a member type in another annotation type.
