This documentation differs from the official API. Jadeite adds extra features to the API including: variable font sizes, constructions examples, placeholders for classes and methods, and auto-generated “See Also” links. Additionally it is missing some items found in standard Javadoc documentation, including: generics type information, “Deprecated” tags and comments, “See Also” links, along with other minor differences. Package javax.security.cert Description

Provides classes for public key certificates.

These classes include a simplified version of the java.security.cert package. These classes were developed as part of the Java Secure Socket Extension (JSSE). When JSSE was added to the Java 2 SDK, this package was added for backward-compatibility reasons only.

New applications should not use this package, but rather java.security.cert.
